How it works
The checker applies a published list of phrase patterns and a few rhythm measures to your text. It reports a genericness score, then groups what it found by category. No model guesses; the same text always gives the same score.
What it looks for
- Stock phrases: "delve into", "a testament to", "leverage".
- Filler openers: sentences that announce instead of say.
- Monotone rhythm: many sentences of nearly the same length.
- Lists of three and hedging that soften every claim.
Tips
- A high score does not mean AI wrote it. It means the writing is generic, which is what readers notice.
- Fix the opener first; it sets the tone for the rest.
